Back to Missouri

Reed left Sunday morning headed back to Missouri. There is snow on the ground there. Brrr! He won't be gone too long though. He'll be back for Christmas in a few weeks.

The Marine and the Cheerleader

Reed and Kendall are home for a few days and it's been great visiting with my parents and the kids! Reed got some special treatment on the way home when he got to sit in first class and talk to the Delta pilots who were also Marines! After lunch I made them pose in their uniforms for pictures. They were thrilled. Ha!

MSU vs. Arkansas

Kendall cheered at her last home game of the season on Saturday. Then she was off to cheer at an MSU basketball game!

It's Great to be a Dawg!

Danny took this video of Kendall before the game. He is such a proud poppa!

Surprise, it's a girl!

No, not for me but for KT! KT's face was priceless when she and Ken were surprised with little girl news at their "find out what sex the baby is" party. We can't wait for our little girl, Momma Kel Kel!

MSU vs. Kentucky

Danny's mom went with us to see Kendall cheer this past Saturday. Too bad she couldn't see the dawgs win!

Happy Halloween

I can't believe Dixie sat still long enough for me to take this photo. She is a little angel!

New York City

We had a great time in New York. The weather was beautiful. We ate good food at Patsy's, a Frank Sinatra hangout, Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, Le Rivage, and had lunch at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. We went to see Wicked on Broadway! We took a tour of downtown on the hop on, hop off, City Sights bus (which is really a great way to see the city) and we went to the top of the Empire State building. It was pretty amazing being 86 stories high looking out at the Wall Street area where the World Trade Center used to be and imagining that day.

Live with Regis and Kelly!

I can't say enough about how much fun we had and how much we enjoyed the city, but my favorite, favorite part of the trip was being in the audience for Live with Regis and Kelly! It was the highlight of the trip for me. Regis was on vacation so Anderson Cooper filled in for him. Kelly is even cuter and skinnier in person! She would entertain the audience during the commercial breaks in her six inch Yves St. Laurent platform heels. She is a doll!! Anderson was pretty cute too and Gellman was funny warming up the audience. Queen Latifa and Rusty Wallace were guests, and Chef Nobu made sushi. (I was hoping for George Clooney, but oh well). After they finished the show they filmed another segment for the next day with James Marsden from Hairspray. Kelly changed clothes and Anderson only changed his tie. Anyway, I took more pictures here than anywhere else in the city!

More Anderson and Kelly

View from the Top

This is the view from the top of the Empire State Building, 86 stories high. If you squint you can see the Statue of Liberty.

The World Trade Center Site

There are buildings at the site that are still damaged seven years later. Danny and I were awed when we saw the site. The steel cross in the top photo actually fell from the towers in this exact spot and fell in the shape of a cross!

Wall Street

We were on Wall Street when the dow rose 900 points!

Our Hotel in Times Square

This was the view from our hotel room in Times Square!

Wicked

We went to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway. It's hard to see but there is a big bat at the top of the theater. The special effects were really good.

For you Bravo Fans!

I'm obsessed with the Bravo! Channel. Recognize these sites...the Parsons School of Design from Project Runway and Zarins from the Real Housewifes of NYC?

Gotta love a Weenie Dog

Dixie keeps us in stitches. Really, she's like a person this one. Always into something, making faces, sleeping in our laps, is scared of the wind, has a fierce eat-you-up bark, but is so sweet that she doesn't meet a stranger. So this is her entertaining us (and Danny entertaining her with his new golf club). Can you hear her growl?

MSU vs. Auburn

I'm guessing that for the next few months my blog will consist mainly of MSU games and Kendall in her cheerleader uniform. We just can't get enough photos of our girl! Kendall did a great job cheering for MSU against Auburn. Even though the game didn't turn out like we hoped, she kept smiling all the way through.
