Reed's July 4th Visit

Reed was able to come home from California for a short July 4th visit. He is still stateside and we are so thankful for that because he will be overseas soon enough. We enjoyed having him home and we are thankful for our military and what they give up to keep us safe.

Dad Retires

My dad is retiring this month after 40 years with the state. His co-workers gave him two retirement receptions over the last couple of weeks. We are proud of you dad! Now you have more time to be a granddad!
This month marked another milestone for my parents. They have been married 40 years! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary. We love you!

Reed is adjusting well to desert life in California, he even has time for a little fun. Guess the "perfect pull up" is paying off. Ha!

Reed Heads to California

Lance Corproal Reed Miller finished his chemical, biological, nuclear training in Missouri yesterday. He flew to California last night and will be stationed at 29 Palms in the California desert. We hope he gets to stay stateside for a while. Thanks for the prayers!

Catching Up

It's been a while since I've posted so I thought I'd catch up on the last couple of months. Reed came home for about a month and Kendall was home from college and we had fun spending time with them over the break. We spent Christmas day with my family in Tupelo at the Moore's house which is something we do every year! Forgive me for all the family pics but I thought this was a good way to archive the photos. And I had to include Dixie and Sugar who both had a blast on Christmas Day. I think they need a few more toys!

Merry Christmas

Let it Snow!

The Alluvian

I'm a little late posting this but I couldn't miss the chance to thank my sweet hubby for taking me to the Alluvian for my birthday. He had flowers, champagne and strawberries waiting in the room for me when we got there. It was a great weekend!

Back to Missouri

Reed left Sunday morning headed back to Missouri. There is snow on the ground there. Brrr! He won't be gone too long though. He'll be back for Christmas in a few weeks.

The Marine and the Cheerleader

Reed and Kendall are home for a few days and it's been great visiting with my parents and the kids! Reed got some special treatment on the way home when he got to sit in first class and talk to the Delta pilots who were also Marines! After lunch I made them pose in their uniforms for pictures. They were thrilled. Ha!

MSU vs. Arkansas

Kendall cheered at her last home game of the season on Saturday. Then she was off to cheer at an MSU basketball game!

It's Great to be a Dawg!

Danny took this video of Kendall before the game. He is such a proud poppa!

Surprise, it's a girl!

No, not for me but for KT! KT's face was priceless when she and Ken were surprised with little girl news at their "find out what sex the baby is" party. We can't wait for our little girl, Momma Kel Kel!

MSU vs. Kentucky

Danny's mom went with us to see Kendall cheer this past Saturday. Too bad she couldn't see the dawgs win!

New York City

We had a great time in New York. The weather was beautiful. We ate good food at Patsy's, a Frank Sinatra hangout, Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill, Le Rivage, and had lunch at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. We went to see Wicked on Broadway! We took a tour of downtown on the hop on, hop off, City Sights bus (which is really a great way to see the city) and we went to the top of the Empire State building. It was pretty amazing being 86 stories high looking out at the Wall Street area where the World Trade Center used to be and imagining that day.

Live with Regis and Kelly!

I can't say enough about how much fun we had and how much we enjoyed the city, but my favorite, favorite part of the trip was being in the audience for Live with Regis and Kelly! It was the highlight of the trip for me. Regis was on vacation so Anderson Cooper filled in for him. Kelly is even cuter and skinnier in person! She would entertain the audience during the commercial breaks in her six inch Yves St. Laurent platform heels. She is a doll!! Anderson was pretty cute too and Gellman was funny warming up the audience. Queen Latifa and Rusty Wallace were guests, and Chef Nobu made sushi. (I was hoping for George Clooney, but oh well). After they finished the show they filmed another segment for the next day with James Marsden from Hairspray. Kelly changed clothes and Anderson only changed his tie. Anyway, I took more pictures here than anywhere else in the city!
